Feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges or searching for greater clarity, resilience and a stronger sense of direction? You do not have to navigate these difficulties alone.
With extensive experience supporting both children and adults across public, charitable and private settings, I offer a compassionate, professional and supportive counselling service grounded in existential principles. My approach goes beyond simply managing symptoms; I help you explore and understand your emotions, thoughts and behaviours, while considering the experiences and patterns that may have contributed to how you feel today.
Through counselling, we can work together to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, strengthen your resilience and identify healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges. I can support you in reconnecting with your values, beliefs and sense of identity, helping you make choices that feel meaningful and authentic to you.
Whatever has brought you to counselling, our work will provide a safe and non-judgemental space to explore what is happening for you, understand what may need to change, and work towards positive and lasting change.

My Experience
About Me
I am an experienced counsellor currently leading a bereavement service within a hospice setting, alongside my private counselling practice. I also have experience managing counselling services within the charity sector, supporting individuals and families affected by debilitating and life-changing illness.
Throughout my career, I have supported both adults and children experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, childhood abuse, bereavement, trauma, relationship and family difficulties, substance misuse and significant life changes.
My experience spans the public, charitable and private sectors and includes professional and voluntary work with organisations such as MIND, the NSPCC and addiction recovery services. These roles have given me experience of supporting people through complex and often interconnected difficulties, including trauma, domestic abuse, substance misuse, bereavement and the emotional impact of physical and mental health challenges.
I also have extensive experience supporting children and young people experiencing self-harm, suicidal thoughts, bullying, neglect, abuse and emotional trauma.
My approach to counselling is not simply about helping you manage difficult feelings. I want to help you understand them.
Sometimes we know that we are anxious, unhappy, angry, overwhelmed or struggling in our relationships, but we don't necessarily understand why.
Together, we can explore your experiences and begin to make sense of how they may have shaped the way you see yourself, and other people and the world around you.
We can look at the connections between what has happened to you and how you think, feel and behave today.
You may begin to recognise patterns that you weren't previously aware of — why certain situations trigger strong emotions, why you respond to people in particular ways, why you repeatedly find yourself in similar relationships or situations, or why changing something can feel so difficult even when you know it is making you unhappy.
Understanding these connections can be incredibly powerful.
Your past may help explain your behaviour, but it does not have to determine your future.
My role is not to tell you who you should be or what choices you should make. It is to provide a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences, understand yourself more deeply and decide what you would like to change.
I work from an existential approach, helping clients explore their experiences, choices, relationships, identity, values and sense of meaning. Together, we can work towards building resilience, developing greater self-awareness and reconnecting with the parts of yourself that may have become lost along the way.
